Starcraft Stock Market!

Welcome to the Starcraft Stock Market! Here you get to win virtual money as a way to show the other forumers that you have the wits to earn BIG MONEY!

Basically I'll have 9 companies listed at the bottom each with their own numbers. The numbers represent how much money it costs for one stock. The thing is, is that this number changes daily, so you may earn, or lose money from the daily changes.

For example, say the company Swankly Incorporated (SI) costs 5 dollars a stock. So I'll buy 10 for $50. The next day SI increases to 10! That means you can now sell your stock for $10 a piece, meaning that you earn double what you had before! But this doesn't mean you have to sell all the stock you have, it all depends on your future stock plans.

How this works though is you have to post all your info. Use this template if needed.

Now, another cool feature mentioned above is that you can borrow money. Now, it doesn't mean you can just borrow 1 million, that's just stupid. To borrow money you need to have at least 10% what you ask for. (EX. $1 for $10) Now, when you go to buy stocks you can use both the money you borrowed, and the money you already had!(Ex, you'd have $11 dollars) Borrowing money is risky though, because you have to pay it back.

We will have only 5 players at a time, each starting with $1000 Dollars. The players along with Money on Hand will be below.

The stock grows and drops at a set rate, but that rate is random at some points. Here is a little explanation of how the economy works for the above stocks.

Protoss- Expensive and really high; this group is usually steady in change but will usually be 100-300
Terran- Mid range cost; this group is in the middle with both steady and erradic changes. Usually from 50-200
Zerg- Low cost; This group is cheap but can have very erratic changes in cost, going from low to high in mere hours. They are usually 1-100.

The above things aren't solid, as stock could change in to nearly anything. Example would be a Zerg stock reaching the 200's. Though unlikely, you should still have doubts. Anything could happen.

Tips*
Spend Low, Sell High
The Market CAN and WILL crash at some point. So plan ahead.
Always have back up money, otherwise you'll go into debt fast.

Can you make trends?

Trend charts are charts that show corporate growth. I'm sure you've seen one before. Just a line moving right going up and down. Just so I don't find myself investing in a fluctuator.

How is the economy simulated? Or are the stocks just random?

I play a bunch of other stock sims. You'd want a newspaper with basic world news (I,e. Icherisoa Declares war on Bravato, which would increase the Weapons company's value)
