Halo Topic

Sooo... any Halo fans out there? Combat Evolved, Custom Edition, 2, 3, Wars? ... Hell even talk about ODST, Reach, and Halo Wars Custom Edition, your opinions and whatnot.

I'm a halo 1 pc fan. I go on there every once and awhile to test out mods I have created. Currently I am working on turning the plasma grenade into a contact explosion fireball, sadly though I have yet to make it red... I'm getting close though.

Ooh really? Mind sharing some mods with me? I'd love to play them.

Hah, yeah. I had Halo 2 for a few years before I got my 360. Love it now ~ and I see how much easier 3 is than 2.

Well the only mods I have that I kept at the moment is my high power laser, my tranquilizer (lethal dosage), A hand held chaingun (a bit of a fail as all bugs aren't fixed), and my broken rocket gun (kept because the screw-up is just too amazing).

Otherwise you can just ask for something and I'll make it for you. And just so you know, I am a bit experienced, so go ahead and say any idea you want, more then likely, I can do it^^

Oh. Hmm... do you have a mod where you can turn into 3rd person view, then play as someone besides the MC? I've seen mods like that, but I think they're only for Halo Custom.

I don't have Custom, sadly, my Halo for the PC has a keygened key ^^'

I personally can't make it, but I know what program allows you to.

It's called Devmod (i believe) it has a lot of built in hacks, including taking over bodies.

Enter campaign mode (works in there)

Once you start and are in a safe area then simply click the options you want to turn on, in your case, the body take over thing... lol.

after that try and bump into whatever you want to take over, though i suggest you take over the last monster in the room, otherwise they will kill the body you leave behind, and you need it to go to the next level.

otherwise activating them is as simple as clicking.

Ah, that one. I actually have it (haven't looked at that one though), and it's fun.

Only bad thing is that it's hard to move with some Covie guys, you can't turn into Sentinals, the Moniter, can't progress through the level, and some Covie guys don't attack.

halo 1 for the pc is the best halo game i know of. odst and wars i hated. halo 3 was a let down. and halo 2 was good.

ODST isn't even out yet. 3 is easier than 2, since you don't fight things with rechargable shields.


Why do you hate Wars?

it just didnt make a good rts. i am saying odst is gona suck, because it is basicly trying to suck out more of halo. 1 and 2 where good. 3 was a bit of a fail. wars and odst are just trying to continue the halo franchise and they are just not gona work. its like trying to turn starcraft into a mmo rpg. it sounds epic but i dont think it would work. its what blizzard did with warcraft 3. it worked but its much harder to make futuristic mmo rpgs. or they try to turn fallout 3 into a rts, that would be a even greater mistake. some games i know will suck when they come out and i am right 95% of the time. odst is gona suck balls, i can just feel it.

Ehh. Alot of people didn't give Wars a chance, though. They just say "omgrtssucks", but also alot of people probably don't have the paitence to just sit there and build up an army for 20 minutes.

ODST is trying to continue the franchise, yes, because Bungie realizes that Halo Players always want more. They've never gone into the life outside a Spartan, and hardly any with the Elites when you were the Arbiter.

I think they should make a game based with the Arbiter, but then hard-core-Master-Chief fans will be like "OMFGTHISSUCKSHALOISCHIEFNOTTHISDUMBASSARBITER" or something.

thier will always be fan boys/girls who fuck over everything. i wish they would do storyline before halo 1. because i have read the books, they are much more warlike with 300 spartans{i know what your thinking} and sometimes thousands of covenet duking it out. halo wars i think tried to do it, but it just wasnt a good rts, it was consolified and every console rts i play sucks. i never played starcraft for the n64 so i wouldnt know if it was good or not. console rts games are always simplified and it pisses me off to see un skill requiring rts games. a pre halo game that was a fps would be epic and a lot more action packed because you would have a army of spartans charging into gigantic battles. i would rather read the books then play halo wars. halo wars was the bigest fail in halo fan history. i hope somehow they save odst and make it not suck ass. my friend is going to buy it and have a odst party so that will be the proving ground for the game. i hate fan boys who always think games are beter if played by a certain person. i mean i would love a game played by the arbiter since i like elites. but sadly a lot of masterchief fan boys as you said would hate it.

Um. .. you know that they are making a game BEFORE Halo: CE, right? Halo Reach beta comes with Halo 3: ODST, and Reach already has a trailer out.

i will have to look into reach. for that sounds like my kind of halo game.

On the cover I can tell that Linda will be in it. She's one of the thinner SPARTAN.II's that's kneeling with a Sniper Rifle, or at least one of them has a Sniper.

I doubt it. Halo's too big of a franchise to just STOP production.... There's so much more that they can go into, and it'd be stupid.

Plus the Anime coming out looks awesome.
